I am a Registered Psychologist who is passionate about working with people in their endeavour to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. I sought out a career in Psychology due to my beliefs that everyone deserves the right to speak their own truth and to be heard and understood.
I am a fifth generation West Coaster from the South Island of New Zealand and gained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch.
Throughout my working life I have travelled extensively before returning home to New Zealand and settling back in Christchurch where I worked in various Non-government organisations (NGOs) in the mental health sector. I was then accepted in the limited entry Child and Family Psychology Programme (UC) where I gained an Endorsed MEd (Masters in Education), and Post Graduate Diploma in Child and Family Psychology.
I have since worked extensively in the Mental Health sector including: West Coast District Health Board, Ministry of Education, Child, Adolescent and Families Services (CAF) CDHB, and within the private sector.
I believe that everyone should have the right to support and help in a safe, caring and confidential environment.
